About

I like numbers, I like journalism and I like science. This blog brings them all together, looking at the how the internet and new technology is shaping the news we get everyday.

MediaMaths looks at such urgent questions as:

1) What will news look like in 5 years time?

2) What neat tools are out there to do journalism better?

3) Can digital news fund quality news?

4) Where, currently, are my pants?

And answer them as best I can.

Reuben works for Fairfax New Zealand, publisher of Stuff.co.nz – the biggest, most popular, and best damn news website in the country. The opinions expressed on this blog are his alone and do not represent those of Fairfax NZ even though he is mostly right about things.  If you have any thoughts on Stuff, neat tools we should try, or online news in general, please post a comment on the blog.

Or you could follow Reuben on Twitter, or use Twitter discover some new and interesting words.
